CAREERS IN CONSTRUCTION
The Construction Industry is facing a lack of new workers entering the industry and in many of its trades. Coupled with the fact that there has been a sharp drop in the number of college leavers entering into construction, it is vital that employers, along with colleges, federations and associations work together to promote the benefits of joining the Industry and making it a first choice career path.
ECTA has chosen to adopt initiatives, supported by its members, to "spread the word" and provide meaningful engagements with school children and their educators.
Currently it is delivering "lunch and learn" into as many schools as it can and is always looking for Ambassadors from the Membership to volunteer an hour or two of their time to help deliver these.
ECTA has also delivered workshops to educators to highlight the benefits of working in the industry and is also exploring working with the ex-military who have very transferable skills.
If you or your company would like any help or support in delivering similar initiatives or would like to help with the Groups initiatives then please do get in touch.
